This beautiful, surreal book is designed to stimulate both the reader's imagination and their perspectives about human relationships - with one another, with the world around them, with everything they can see, feel and touch and some of the things they can't. "Imagine a day... when grace and daring are all we need to build a bridge."

The surreal illustrations are rendered incredibly realistically in acrylics; so realistically that their surrealist nature tends to creep up on the reader, often stimulating sudden exclamations of surprise, delight and wonder as they see the illusion - or allusion. The poetic text has been designed to lead the reader gently into these wonderfully imagined paintings and give them ‘food for thought' as they explore the artist's world. An outstanding picture book.

Highly recommended.

Gifted children vary a lot. Some are great at sports. Some have disabilities. Children can be gifted or not along one or more of a large number of dimensions. Labels like "gifted" need to be used carefully as all children are different.
