Genre: adventure
Mr Badger is the manager of the Boubles Grand Hotel and finds that there's no better place to get into an adventure or three. When Sir Smothers-Carruthers requests that a large mirror be moved from one of the private rooms and hung above the stairs, Mr Badger thinks nothing of it. Until, that is, he finds that the mirror has some... unusual... qualities.
The fourth in the Mr Badger series, this short novel is another charming story that will appeal to young readers making the leap from picture book to 'chapter' stories. This is the type of 'anything might happen next' adventure that young children love, as it has the irrational logic of a children's game, where surrounding objects, distant memories and a good dollop of imagination combine to create a world of possibilities.
Great fun.

Gifted children vary a lot. Some are great at sports. Some have disabilities. Children can be gifted or not along one or more of a large number of dimensions. Labels like "gifted" need to be used carefully as all children are different. |
