Lucy's friend, the one-legged giant, Gog, wants to be a fairy. How can an enormous, clumsy, hairy rock-eating fellow become a fairy, even if his ten hearts do make him kind and gentle?

But it seems that more is riding on Gog passing the fairy test than his happiness. The evil Witch Jellypoo's Snot Tower has been sighted once more and the Wizzles suspect that she's kidnapped Gog's golden-bottomed father. Any rescuer needs to be able to fly. Can Gog find his wings?

This delightful story from the daughter of the great Spike is packed with her own brand of hilarious nonsense. In a land where farts are sweet-smelling, elephants are small and rabbits bounce higher than the trees, the reader/listener will laugh almost as much as the merry Wizzles. Mary-Anne Fahey reads well, especially her ‘giant' voices, although there's a little choppiness in the narration and the occasional oddly placed emphasis that can be distracting at times. Great fun.

Gifted children vary a lot. Some are great at sports. Some have disabilities. Children can be gifted or not along one or more of a large number of dimensions. Labels like "gifted" need to be used carefully as all children are different.
