Variety is the Spice of Life

Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom - An Annotated Bibliography

In the April 2001 issue of Gifted, (No 118), Kay Pittelkow explores the idea of Multiple Intelligences in the classroom. Kay gives an overview of the concept of MI and looks at ways to access information on this very important area of gifted education. So that as many people as possible can have access to the websites and books that Kay described as extremely valuable, the full annotated bibliography is supplied below. Kay's article is not available electronically. However, for those interested in reading "Variety is the Spice of Life: MI in the Classroom" - that do not subscribe to Gifted - please contact the NSWAGTC Office on 02 9633 5799 or e-mail to: office@nswagtc.org.au

(Please note that whilst the Association welcomes a wide range of views, it does not necessarily endorse all the ideas expressed or services advertised.)

  5. http://www.literacynet.org/diversity/spelling.html
This site shows how spelling can be taught using MI. (The author's do not recommend teaching spelling out of context, but if you want to - here it is!) The site is a very valuable resource for teachers wanting to implement MI for literacy.
