Welcome to your myNSWAGTC!
This part of the site contains much more than standard information about the Association. It also allows you to manage your online interactions with the NSWAGTC.
Once you have registered on the site and logged in, you will be able to:
- See a greeting in the top right of the page,
- See additional menu options in the myNSWAGTC menu to help you control your registration details, manage the comments you have made on this site, and suggest useful weblinks for our Gifted Links Library,
- Add comments to articles where these are permitted, and
- Participate in a general Welcome Mat forum when you click on the Forum menu.
If you are also a financial member you will additionally be able to:
- See additional menu options in the Information menu to allow you to access members only articles for parents, for teachers and (soon) articles published in our Gifted journal,
- Submit a borrowing request to the members' borrowing library in the myNSWAGTC menu,
- Access and participate in a number of support group and specific topic forums when you click on the Forum menu, and
- See additional menu options on the myNSWAGTC menu to allow you to add an event or an article for consideration on the site, and to interact with online NSWAGTC projects of which you are a member.
And that is just for now - we expect this area to grow. So watch this space. And if you haven't already joined us, check out why it is great idea to join us today.

The NSWAGTC is an open association (incorporated in the state of New South Wales, Australia) for people who share a common interest in gifted and talented children, with a particular focus on NSW and the ACT. We welcome your interest and involvement.Join the NSWAGTC

We have membership levels just right for you:
Registered Members
Registering as a Member of our website is free! As a registered user you:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest events, workshops and other happenings via our monthly NSWAGTC Community Update eNewsletter
- Can comment on the articles on the site - perhaps asking that question or adding your own view
- Can participate in the limited General Welcome forum
- Can upgrade to become a Financial Member
Registering is simple. All we need is your name, email address, and a username and password. Please choose your username carefully if you wish to contribute to this site anonymously - only your username will appear on the site with your full name and email address remaining hidden. Financial Members
Financial members are the foundation of the volunteer run, not-for-profit NSWAGTC. As a financial member you:
- Know you are working for a better future for gifted children in NSW
- Receive our quarterly print journal Gifted
- Are welcome to participate in a local Support Group
- Have access to all the Information Centre articles on this site
- Can borrow from the Members' Only Borrowing Library
- Are welcome to participate in the full range of specific forums on this site
To become a financial member, you need to:
- Register as a member on this site
- Download, print and post the completed financial membership form with your payment (an online payment version is planned)
- Advise your registered site user name on the form to have your site username upgraded

NSWAGTC's Goals
NSWAGTC is dedicated to improving the position of gifted and talented children and to assist their parents, educators and other care-givers. Membership of the Association is open to all interested individuals, groups and institutions. Financial hardship is taken into account in regard to reduction in membership fees and charges for services.
Charitable Status
The NSWAGTC provides assistance to all who seek it in regard to gifted issues and encourages those parents, teachers and others interested in giftedness to share their experience, skills and questions.

Pay our annual membership fee of $85 and you will receive immediate membership through to 31 March 2011.

Gifted children vary a lot. Some are great at sports. Some have disabilities. Children can be gifted or not along one or more of a large number of dimensions. Labels like "gifted" need to be used carefully as all children are different. |
