"What is it about gifted girls?" online conference
Just what is it about gifted girls? Parent, NSWAGTC past president, and lecturer/coordinator of Primary teaching programs at Charles Sturt University, Denise Wood, will lead our thinking in this online forum conference on this intriguing and important topic that directly concerns half the gifted population.
This Conference event will be held on the NSWAGTC's Parenting Primary Schoolers Forum over the five days from Monday 12 through Friday 16 September 2011, allowing participants to reflect on what they read and ask questions that concern them. After posting her initial thoughts, Denise will visit the forum morning and night to respond to participant questions and comments. Join in this valuable discussion.
Through this conference parents will gain a better understanding of what gifted and talented is and how it may be demonstrated in gifted girls. Denise notes "My doctoral study is about gifted girls and so I can claim some level of theoretical expertise and I have 3 gifted and diverse daughters so that gives me another level of experience."
The forum conference is free to NSWAGTC members, but you will need to have online member access to join the forum - check the membership options. The conference exchange will remain on the members only forum as a valuable resource for future members.
