Click below for information about the NSWAGTC support groups - these volunteer coordinated groups for members provide great opportunities to share face-to-face locally with others, and are covered by the NSWAGTC's insurance policies - see also the online support group forums.
Online Support Groups
In addition to its local support groups the NSWAGTC also offers its members a range of online support group forums ideal for those who, due to distance or other factors, want to share with others electronically. Many support group forums are run in conjunction with a group that also meets face-to-face. Simply click on the appropriate online support group forum in the Forum | Online Support Groups menu group. Sydney - Northern Beaches Home-Schoolers
We are a new group and would love to create a fun and supportive community where each individual’s idea is valued and discussed, each child is included in co-operative lessons and games, and where positive social interactions between children are actively encouraged.
We are open to all families and all teaching and learning methods, backgrounds and religions.
The founders of this group have gifted and talented children with learning disorders (dyslexia and auditory processing disorder) so we have a particular (but not exclusive) interest in education methods that correspond with our children’s needs. We are also very interested in coffee and a good chat!
We meet every Friday from 12pm onwards.
The park we meet at is well equipped with a bike track, large fenced in play area with lots of equipment, BBQs, café and calm beach.
