We have been to hell and back for our little boy... He could read at two and a half, is a brilliant speller, his drawings are creative and brilliant. Although he seems to not like maths he seems to be able flash through it if he has to. He loves science and has an interest in the banjo. We have had to fight for him all the way with some wonderful doctors and specialists backing us all the way. Except for one teacher who was a high school mathematics, Science, philosopher who was in her third year of child psychology (and who had our son working on grade 2/3 work when he was in grade 1) - every other teacher has pushed against us, pulling him back so far that last year he wanted to die, be born again and start his life over, hated himseld and called himself dumb - no self esteem whatsoever. Thanks to a great O.T and Veteran Affairs Education Department we have been able to fight back and lift his self esteem - help him to believe in himself again - but no thanks to any school he has been to - except for that one teacher from Pakistan who was taught by nuns. Sometimes we just want to take him out of school and teach him form home.

We would be delighted if you subscribed. The easiest way is to use the panel low down in the left hand column on our home page http://nswagtc.org.au. - austega
